Friends n Stuff is located next to Friends the Restaurant. It sells a variety of new and second hand goods including:
Home Based Products are made from local, recycled and easily sources low-cost materials such as recycled newspapers and magazines. Our designs are creative and original, each item is uniquely hand-crafted or made using simple equipment and much of the individual ingenuity of the producer is reflected in the final product. Our producers are parents of former street children in Cambodia and Lao PDR who work as part of a project to ensure that their children go to school instead of working on the streets.
Training Center products are made by youth in vocational training classes at Mith Samlanh. At the center, former street children learn one of ten skills including electronics, beautician training and sewing. Upon completion of their training, the graduates enter the Cambodian workforce, aided by Mith Samlanh’s job placement team
As a customer you can order custom made products from the training center or bring items in for repair by the students.
Friends-International products financially support the long term sustainability of the projects at Friends-International, a partner of Mith Samlanh. This includes products from other projects of Friends-International, such as Noi-Noi in Lao PDR and Friends@240, a sewing workshop in Phnom Penh on St 240.
Donated Products
We accept useful donations of any kind. Where possible, all donations are given to the training center to aid the students’ education. All other donations are sold in the shop and the profits are reinvested in our projects.
