How to support FRIENDS
There are many different ways the children could benefit from your support:
- Support a project / initiative: your money will be directed according to your designation. You will receive quarterly financial and activity reports on the activity you are supporting. Please check on our financial needs.
- Support a child studies: you can support one child to study at Friends and become reintegrated into public school. For a child in the Friends' remedial school (Educational Center) and his/her reintegration into the public school system: 40 US$ / month at Friends for the first year, then 20 US$ / month in public school. For a child in training and his/her placement for employment: 60 US$ / month during his training at Friends. In order to reduce the administrative cost, we will not develop a close relationship between you and the child (sending letters and keeping contact requires a lot of money and thus reduces the amount going to the children!) but we will provide an overall newsletter to all donors. Please get in contact with us directly for details on how to proceed.
- Provide us with material: all material for schooling, training, medical, etc. is welcome. Do keep in mind that buying the material directly in Cambodia is cheaper so we can buy more for the children and support the local economy (prices abroad are higher and you need to add shipping costs!)
- Give your used clothes, material, furniture, etc. We come to pick it up directly at your house/office
